Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn on DELL SC430

インストール

Software RAID + LVM な環境にしたかったので、Alternate install CD を使った。

パーティション

/dev/md0 128MB ext3 /boot
/dev/md1 2GB swap

/dev/md3 残り ReiserFS LVM
/dev/mapper/VG-home 10GB ReiserFS /home
/dev/mapper/VG-opt 5GB ReiserFS /opt

/dev/mapper/VG-tmp 2GB ReiserFS /tmp
/dev/mapper/VG-usr 10GB ReiserFS /usr
/dev/mapper/VG-var 10GB ReiserFS /var

初期設定

システム更新

$ sudo nano -w /etc/apt/sources.list
#deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 7.04 _Feisty Fawn_ - Release amd64 (20070415)]/ feisty main restricted
$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

SSH

$ sudo aptitude install openssh-server
$ sudo nano -w /etc/ssh/sshd_config
PermitRootLogin no

AuthorizedKeysFile      .ssh/authorized_keys

PermitEmptyPasswords no

PasswordAuthentication no
$ sudo /etc/init.d/sshd restart

zsh, subversion

$ sudo aptitude install zsh subversion
$ mkdir workspace
$ cd workspace
$ svn co
$ cd ~
$ ln -s workspace/dotfiles/.screenrc .
$ ln -s workspace/dotfiles/.zshrc .
$ chsh

$ mkdir -p ~/local/src
$ cd ~/local/src
$ tar zxvf ~/Downloads/VMware-server-1.0.3-44356.tar.gz
$ cd vmware-server-distrib
$ sudo ./vmware-install.pl
